During therapy, I take a non-judgemental, empathic and, at times, challenging approach.
Sessions are conversational in style, with a focus on growth, change and living a meaningful life. I take an integrative approach which can include one or more psychological modalities including Person-centred, Psychodynamic, Existential, Transpersonal and mindfulness practices. Blending elements of the different theories means I can tailor sessions to suit individual needs.Together, we’ll work to understand how your past may be influencing your life today; how you make sense of, and derive meaning from, life; and how you can bolster your resilience when faced future challenging experiences.
I’ve worked with a wide range of issues including trauma, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, relationship issues, workplace issues, adjusting to life transitions, challenges and change, generalised and social anxiety, personal and spiritual growth, sexual difficulties, sexuality issues and substance abuse issues, among others.
I offer both short-term counselling, and longer-term psychotherapy for more complicated issues.
I’m pleased to offer online counselling via Google Hangouts for clients located outside of Sydney or Australia. Clients who live locally may also find these consultations convenient and in the interest of time or other constraints.
I am an experienced mindfulness meditation teacher and practitioner. I regularly run mindfulness workshops and seminars for businesses, schools and community groups.
